President Buhari Appoints New Comptroller General Of Immigration
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday approved the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Babandede as the new Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of interior, Bassey Okon Akpanyung, in Abuja, Thisday reports.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday approved the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Babandede as the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of interior, Bassey Okon Akpanyung, in Abuja, said the appointment took effect from 15th of this month.
Until his appointment, the new Comptroller General was a Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) of the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters.
The statement added: “He replaces Mr. Martin Kure Abeshi, who retired from the Service at the end of his tenure.”
Until his elevation to the top job in the service, the new Comptroller General was a Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) of the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters.
Babandede replaces former CG Martin Kure Abeshi, who last week retired from the Service at the end of his tenure.
The statement added that the appointment of Babandede is to take effect from May 15, 2016.
