President Buhari Pleased With Military Efforts On Insecurity
President Muhammadu Buhari says he is pleased with the efforts of the Nigerian Military in combating insecurity across the country.
The Nigerian Military currently has different operations battling several insecurity issues across the country. The Military is tackling Boko Haram terrorists in Northeast, and armed bandits in the North Central and Northwest. There is also a military operation against pipeline vandalisation in the south-south.
President Buhari who visited soldiers in the Northwest has now commended the troops for the work done so far. He says he is “very pleased with the way they are firmly dealing with the bandits and criminals”
“As Commander-in-Chief I am extremely pleased by the gallant performance of our troops, on the various operations to which they’ve been deployed. On behalf of all Nigerians let me express how grateful we are as a nation for all that they’re doing to keep us safe and secure,” President Buhari wrote on Twitter
“The Air Force has taken on a more significant role in the hotspots of banditry in the North Central and North West in recent months, deploying attack aircraft to support the efforts of the Army. And we are already seeing the effects of this intensification of military operations.
“I will continue to charge all our security personnel to ensure that they do not spare any cattle rustler, armed robber, kidnapper or any person who thinks he is above the law. Only a safe and secure country can guarantee economic growth and prosperity for its citizens.”
