
President NAOWA, Mrs Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu Hosts The Coordinator NAOWA Guards Brigade and Chairperson 6 Division Chapter On Courtesy Visit
The President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu on Thursday 22 January 2026, received the Coordinator, NAOWA Guards Brigade Chapter, Mrs Adenike Ololade Onasanya alongside members of her entourage as well as the Chairperson NAOWA 6 Division Chapter, Mrs Manfon Ejim-Emekah and her entourage during a separate courtesy visits at the NAOWA National Secretariat, Abuja.
The visits were aimed at strengthening engagement between the national leadership and chapter executives as well as reinforcing alignment with the Association’s vision and strategic objectives. In her remarks, Mrs Shaibu warmly welcomed the delegations and commended them for their commitment to advancing the goals of NAOWA at their respective formations. She noted that the success of the Association largely depended on unity of purpose, effective coordination and sustained support for programmes that promote empowerment, welfare and humanitarian service.
The President NAOWA encouraged the visiting leaders to continue to foster inclusiveness among members, pursue innovative initiatives and ensure that chapter activities remain people-centred and impactful. She emphasized that the national leadership would continue to provide guidance and support to all chapters in order to enhance synergy and overall effectiveness. Mrs Shaibu further reassured the delegations of her readiness to support initiatives that are in line with NAOWA’s core values, stressing that regular interaction and consultation were key to building a stronger and more responsive Association.
Earlier, Mrs Onasanya and Mrs Ejim-Emekah expressed appreciation to the President for her exemplary leadership and the opportunity to engage with the national leadership. They pledged their commitment to upholding the standards of NAOWA and to implementing programmes that would positively impact members and their communities. The courtesy visits highlighted NAOWA’s continued focus on collaboration, unity and purposeful leadership across all chapters nationwide.
Highlights of the event were the signing of the visitors book, interactive sessions, presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
