Everything Rihanna touches turns into money, hence why she is easily envied.

According to MTV, the singer’s Fenty shoe collection for Puma reportedly became instant success, and the resale value of fur slides pair reportedly goes up to as much as $1,000 per pair. MTV adds that her satin slides immediately sold out when it went online.

And this created a problem.

Retail stores like ‘Forever 21’ blatantly created cheap replicas of 3 of the singer’s designs which included the Creeper, the Bow Slide and the Fur Slide, and ripping off Puma which said in its lawsuit that it deliberately made the original designs scarce so as to create more demand for the luxury product. That business decision, which always worked, gave fast retail stores opportunity to create cheap replicas.

Business model is based on trading off of the established goodwill of reputable, name-brand companies,” Puma said in the lawsuit, adding that it holds patents and copyrights for the Rihanna’s shoe line.

TMZ adds that Puma is asking the court to immediately shut down sales of the “knocked-off” gear, and for ‘Forever 21’ to return all the profits to them.

While the court case drags on, fans of Rihanna have pointed out other stores that are presently ripping off the singer’s efforts by creating cheaper version of her hard work.

Puma is yet to go after these stores, and when it does, they better have Rihanna’s money!
