Royal Father Lauds Nigerian Army
The Emir of Askira, His Royal Highness Alhaji Mai Abdullahi Muhammadu Ibn Askirama, has lauded the Nigerian Army’s sacrifices aimed at restoring peace and security in the country.
He made the commendation in his palace at Askira Local Government Area Borno State, when the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu paid him a courtesy visit.
The Royal Father further stated that, farming activities have improved tremendously in his domain and thanked the Acting GOC and his entourage for the visit. He added that, the efforts of the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, in fighting Boko Haram Terrorists will forever be remembered.
The Emir assured the Nigerian Army of his emirate’s support, cooperation and collaboration at all times, towards ending the menace of Boko Haram Terrorists.
Earlier in his remark, the Acting GOC 7 Division stated that, he was in the palace to pay homage to the Emir while also embarking on operational tour of units within 28 Task Force Brigade.
He expressed gratitude to the Royal Father for the hospitality accorded him and members of his entourage. He also commended the existing cordial relationship between the personnel of the Nigerian Army and good people of Askira.
He urged the Royal father to continue to mobilise his subjects to support the military’s effort against the Boko Haram Terrorists. He reiterated that the fight against terrorism is every body’s business through effective synergy and collaboration. He solicited the cooperation of the people to volunteer information that will aid in combating the Boko Haram Terrorists.
The Acting GOC was accompanied during the visit by the Commander 28 Task Force Brigade, Commander 47 Engineer Brigade among others.
