RTEAN Bauchi Strengthens Ties With Armoured Corps, Seeks Enhanced Civil-Military Collaboration

The Bauchi State Branch of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) on Wednesday, 15 April 2026 paid a courtesy visit to Headquarters Nigerian Army Armoured Corps (NAAC) to deepen collaboration and improve Civil-Military Relations.

The State Branch Chairman, Comrade Mai-kudi Umar led the delegation to the General Ibrahim Babangida Complex, Obienu Barracks, Bauchi, where they were received by the Commander Armoured Corps, Major General UB Abubakar. The visit was aimed at enhancing information sharing, building trust and improving security awareness between the Association and the Nigerian Army.

Speaking through the State Branch Public Relations Officer, Comrade Umar commended the Armoured Corps and the Nigerian Army for their unwavering commitment to national security, discipline and service. He stressed the need for constant dialogue and timely information exchange to address security challenges affecting road transport operations in the state.

In his remarks, Commander Armoured Corps, Major General Umar Abubakar expressed delight at the Association’s dedication to ensuring safer roads in Bauchi State. He congratulated the newly appointed executive members of RTEAN and reaffirmed the Armoured Corps’ readiness to support the Association’s initiatives. The Commander further restated the Army’s commitment to Community Relations through sustained Inter-Agency Cooperation.

Highlights of the visit included the signing of the visitors’ book, presentation of souvenir and group photograph.
