Sector 2 Operation Hadin Kai Honours Commander Army Headquarters Logistics Base II Damaturu

The Commander Sector 2 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Brig Gen Beyidi Martins organized a sendoff ceremony in honour of the outgoing Commander Army Headquarters (AHQ) Logistic Base II, Col TH Saleh on 10 November 2025.

During his remarks, the Commander Sector 2 OPHK appreciated the posted out senior officer for his efforts, commitment and contributions to the successes achieved by the Sector. He encouraged him to remain steadfast and do more in his new place of assignment.

In another development, Gen Beyidi Martins commissioned the newly constructed Quarter Guard and inspected ongoing projects at AHQ Log Base II, all initiated by the outgoing Commander, Col TH Saleh. During the commissioning ceremony, the Commander Sector 2 OPHK, eulogised the unwavering commitment and selflessness of the senior officer. Gen Martins noted that despite the Senior officer’s short period of stay in the Sector, his achievements were visible, commendable and worthy of emulation.

During his vote of thanks, the outgoing Commander AHQ Logistics Base II thanked the Commander Sector 2 OPHK for his visionary leadership and guidance as well as the opportunity and enabling environment given to him to key into the existing achievements observed within the Sector. He further stated that same was in line with the COAS vision of making remarkable impact in order to motivate troops in the frontline.

The highlights of the events include presentation of plaque and gifts to the outgoing Commander in recognition of his service to the nation and group photographs.
