Senate Approves 45 Ambassadorial Nominees, Rejects 2
The Nigerian Senate approved the nomination of 45 non-career ambassadors on Thursday.
The Senate rejected two nominees: Sylvanus Nsofor of Imo State and Jacob Daodu of Ondo State.
The nominees from Imo (Sylvanus Nsofor) and Ondo State (Jacob Daodu) were rejected by the Senators based on the C'ttee report.

The DSS report on the Ondo State nominee were negative. He's said to be deceitful & indulged in corrupt practices as Chair road construction

According to the Nigerian Senate’s Twitter page, the Senate rejected Mr. Daodu because his Department of State Services (DSS) report was negative, calling him “deceitful” and hinting that he had “indulged in corrupt practices” during his time as chairman of road construction.
Mr. Nsofor was rejected based on the Committee on Foreign Affairs’ report, according to the Senate’s Twitter.
Below is a list of all 47 non-career ambassadorial nominees, all of whom were approved with the exceptions of Mr. Nsofor and Mr. Daodu.
