Spain Deports 11 Nigerians for Various Offences

The Spanish authorities on Friday sent home 11 Nigerians alleged to have committed various offences in that country.

NAN reports that the deportees comprising 10 male and one female, arrived at the Hajj Camp area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 7.10 p.m.

According to Vanguard, the deportation of the 11 Nigerians came less than 48 hours after 41 Nigerians were deported from the United States for their involvement in criminal activities.

The Spanish Government on Friday deported 11 Nigerians alleged to have committed various offences in that country.

It reports that their deportation is coming less than 48 hours after 41 Nigerians were deported from the United States of America for similar reasons.

NAN reports that the deportees, comprising 10 males and one female, arrived at the Hajj Camp area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 7.10 p.m.

They were received by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and the Lagos Airport Police Command.

The spokesperson of the command, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the deportation to NAN.

According to him, they were deported for allegedly committing immigration-related offences and other criminal acts in their host country.

The United Kingdom and Australia, on May 25, jointly deported 40 Nigerians alleged to have committed various offences in both countries.

The deportees were handed over to officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and the Lagos Airport Police Command.

The spokesperson of the airport police command, DSP Joseph Alabi, said they were deported for allegedly committing immigration-related offences and other criminal acts in their host country.

It will be recalled that the United Kingdom and Australia deported 40 Nigerians alleged to have committed various offences in both countries on May 25.
