Steve Harvey Sued for Alleged Fraud Involving His Charity Foundation
Steve Harvey has been sued by a fundraiser who claims the TV mogul stiffed him of his percentage after helping him raise money for his foundation.
According to TMZ, the man, Vincent Dimmock claimed he reached an agreement with Harvey which says he will get 12.5% share if he raised $20 million for Harvey and wife Marjorie’s foundation. Dimmock claims he has connection to power figures including a former president, entertainers and political figures and high-level executives, and these people pledged $20 million for Harvey.
But things went south when he delivered the first million and the TV mogul refused to pay him his commission. As if that was not enough, Dimmock claims he introduced Harvey to an investor in May and during the alleged meeting, Harvey blamed everyone, from Oprah Winfrey to Tyler Perry, for giving him bad financial advice. And for his ‘disastrous meeting with Trump’, Harvey blamed that on Barack Obama.
Dimmock also claimed Harvey is in seriously bad financial shape because of his various PR gaffes.
But Harvey’s agent, Todd Frank, has dismissed these allegations as fake. “It sounds fake. Steve is the most loyal guy in the world. I’ve never been stiffed on a commission from Steve Harvey in 21 years,” Frank said.
We can’t wait to hear what Steve Harvey himself has to say about this.
