Students Of GAFCSC Senior Course 45 Visit Headquarters 1 Division As Part Of Their Study Tour To Nigeria
Students of Senior Course 45, Ghanaian Armed Forces Command and Staff College(GAFCSC) visited Headquarters 1 Division Nigerian Army(NA) Kaduna on Tuesday 7 May 2024 as part of their study tour to Nigeria. The visit was aimed at fostering military cooperation and exchange of knowledge between the two countries.
The students shared insights and experiences on various military strategies, tactics, and operations.
During the visit, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation WHIRL PUNCH, Maj Gen MLD Saraso represented by the Chief of Staff, Brig Gen DC Nwakonobi welcomed the students to the premier Division of the Nigerian Army. He expressed his appreciation for the collaboration and emphasized the importance of such interactions in enhancing regional security and promoting mutual understanding between the Armed Forces of Ghana and Nigeria. He assured GAFCSC of the Nigerian Army continuous support and wished the students a successful career.
The Team Leader of the GAFCSC, Col William Archibold Kwabiah in his remarks expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and valuable insights shared during the visit. He highlighted the significance of the visit in broadening the students perspectives and strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Highlights of the visit were a brief on the organization and roles of 1 Division, presentation of souvenirs and group photograph.
