The DSS has disclosed that Security operatives raided the residence of Yoruba Nation Separatist, Sunday Igboho, in the early hours of Thursday after credible intelligence indicated that the agitator had stockpiled arms and ammunition on his house. Several weapons were recovered.
The ammunition recovered from Igboho’s residence include; Seven AK-47 rifles, 3 pump action guns, 30 fully charged AK-47 magazines, 50000 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 5 cutlasses, 1 knife, one pen-knife, 2 pistol holsters, 1 binoculars, a wallet containing $5, etc.
Local and international driver’s licences in Igboho’s name, ATM cards and German residence permit. Also, 2 whistles, 5 cartridges, 18 Walkie-Talkies, 3 voodoo charm jackets, 2 laptops, and his international passport were also recovered by security operatives at his residence.
The security operatives engaged Igboho’s men in a gun battle and arrested 13 suspects. The are identified as; Abdulateef OFEYAGBE, Amoda, BABATUNDE aka Lady K (female),Tajudeen ERINOYEN, Diakola ADEMOLA, Abideen SHITTU, Jamiu NOAH, Ayobami DONALD, viii.Adelabe USMAN, Oluwafelumi KUNLE,Raji KAZEEM, Taiwo OPEYEMI and Bamidele SUNDAY.
