Theatre Commander Lauds NAOWA 7 Division Chapter As Association Visits Headquarters OPHK
The Theatre Commamder Joint Task Force(JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Maj Gen W Shaibu has lauded the Nigerian Army Officers Wives’ Association (NAOWA) 7 Division Chapter for remaining committed to keeping the home front while their spouses are out in the field carrying out national assignments. He gave the commendation, when the Chairperson NAOWA 7 Division Chapter, Mrs Aishatu Haruna and other executive members paid him a courtesy visit at Heaquarters Theatre Command Maiduguri, today 21 March 2024.
Gen Waidi while describing the role military officers’ spouses play siad, ” without you we (Military officers) will not be able to effectively carry out our duties”, adding that they stabilise the homes and also mould children for better.
The Theatre Commander further said, OPHK mandate was to restore peace in the NE and ensure socio-economic activities thrive, adding that OPHK was made of three Sectors, with components from other sister security services, bringing about multistakeholder approach to resolving the security challenges in the NE. He noted that there is much improvement in the security situation currently in the region.
Gen Shaibu thanked them for all their support and urged them to continue praying for restoration total peace in the NE and the nation at large.
Earlier, the Chairperson Mrs Aishatu Haruna said, the purpose of the visit was to congratulate the Theatre Commander on his well deserved appointment and commiserate with him and the entire Nigerian Army, over personnel who paid the supreme price in the course of operations. She prayed God to grant them eternal rest and expose those who perpetrate heinous acts.
Mrs Haruna further prayed God to grant the Theatre Commander the wisdom to pilot the affairs of OPHK to greater heights, while pledging to remain steadfast in managing the home front in order to make the tasks of military officers easier. She used the medium to solicit for continuous support of the Theatre Command towards achieving their objectives of providing humanitarian services.
High points of the visit were; signing of visitor’s book, presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
