Toyin Lawani Suffers Major Backlash for Sharing her Worker’s Rape Story Online
Yesterday, top designer and celebrity stylist Toyin Lawani took to her Instagram page to share the heartbreaking story of how one of her workers, Gladys, was raped.
Toyin first introduced Gladys, who is deaf and mute, to the world in May when she shared how she rescued her from the streets and turned her into an exceptional fashion designer.
In her Instagram post, the CEO Tiannah Styling revealed how she was concerned about the young woman’s behaviour lately. According to Ms. Lawani, Gladys had been having constant mood swings at work and she didn’t know how to cheer her up . This prompted Toyin to share how Gladys was abandoned by her husband after she was savagely raped by a security guard a few blocks away from her Tiannah Empire building.
After sharing the story, Toyin Lawani then stated that she would like to find a good man for Gladys.
