TRADOC NA Organizes Commendation Dinner In Honour Of Serving, Retired, and Posted Out Personnel

The Commander Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), Maj Gen Stevenson Olabanji has organized a commendation Dinner Night to celebrate the commendable service and dedication of serving, retired, and posted-out personnel who served under his command in the past 2 years. The event took place at Minna Military cantonment, Niger State.

In his remarks, the Special Guest of Honour Maj Gen Victor Ezugwu stated that he is highly delighted to be among senior officers who have been instrumental in ensuring efficient training of personnel among other key activities of the Nigerian Army (NA). The commitment, dedication, and selfless service to the TRADOC and NA are commendable and highly appreciated. General Ezegwu added that the daily sacrifices in uplifting the image of the command and living up to the motto of TRADOC NA which is “Towards Greater Heights”, coupled with the daily routine of training, strategizing, and development of tactics to counteract the activities of adversaries and non-state actors is no small feat.

Gen Victor Ezugwu enjoined the posted-out officers and continued to uphold the standards that have earned them commendation awards. He further urged them to go the extra mile in the service of the country and use the position to inspire others to follow in their footsteps. He also congratulated all the awardees for their hard work and dedication to duty which earned them recognition tonight. It is a testament to exceptional leadership and professionalism which is one of the pillars of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya’s vision of “A Professional Nigerian Army Ready to Accomplish Assigned Missions within a Joint Environment in the Defence of Nigeria”. Gen Ezegwu applauded the leadership of TRADOC NA, officers, and soldiers who have been selected for the commendation awards.

While delivering his welcome address, the Commander TRADOC NA Maj Gen Olabanji noted that the unique and remarkable event was organized to celebrate the commendable service and unwavering dedication of serving, retired and posted-out officers and soldiers of TRADOC NA. It is with great pleasure that the leadership of TRADOC acknowledged and recognized the exceptional contributions you have selflessly devoted your lives during your tour of duty in the past 2 years of my meritorious service as the Commander TRADOAC NA. This is to ensure my mandate was achieved as commander.

The event was attended by Corps Commander Signal Maj Gen GS Abdullahi, senior officers both serving and retired; including serving and retired soldiers of the command, and guests.
