Twitter Explodes With Reactions to Kanye West’s VMA Speech

Kanye West may have failed to impress at this year’s VMAs after fans were left confused by his speech. He was however saved by his new video, presented at the end of his rant.

Recall that the rapper was given four minutes of ‘creative freedom’ to do whatever he wants at the awards show, which was one of the reason why people assumed singer Taylor Swift skipped the ceremony.

Well, many speculated Kanye was going to do something crazy or over-the-top as he has done in past editions of the show (who can forget the notorious 2009 VMAs, when he ruined Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech?).

However, Kanye decided to be more philosophical than outrageous this year and fans couldn’t help but comment on this.

In his speech, Kanye addressed the recent gun violence in Chicago and urged fans to focus their attention on that instead of his feud with Taylor Swift. He then addressed his controversial Famous video and gave a shout out to Kim Kardashian’s ex, Ray J and his own ex, Amber Rose who were featured in it.

He then finally praised his wife, Kim K for putting up with all his drama.

Now, Kanye is known to go on bizarre rants but this time his speech left fans not only bored but also more confused about him than ever.

Fortunately for Kanye, his new music video for his song Fade which featured singer Teyana Taylor dancing in a thong and sports bra compensated for his weird speech.
