United Against Insecurity: Federal Road Safety Corps Sector Commander Visits Headquarters 301 Artillery Regiment General Support, Strengthen Ties

In a significant effort to sustain synergy, collaboration and effective cooperation in carrying out security duties, the new Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Gombe State Command, Mr Samson Kaura, today Monday, 12 August 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander 301 Artillery Regiment (GS), Colonel Sule Musa Ahmed, at the Regiment’s Headquarters in Gombe State.

In his remarks, the Sector Commander Mr Samson Kaura affirmed that strengthening the existing bilateral relationship between the Nigerian Army (NA) and Federal Road Safety Corps remains significantly important in securing joint victory over all security challenges in the country. He further stated that “The essence of my coming on this courtesy visit to the Comd 301 AR (GS), is to strengthen the existing synergy between the NA and FRSC. The relationship has been cordial till now, and I hope that it continues”.

Mr Samson also noted that continuous intelligence gathering and sharing, collaboration and effective communication, would assist the two organizations to sustain the fight against insecurity in the state.

The Commander Colonel Sule Ahmed, while welcoming the visiting Sector Commander and his entourage, praised the visit’s timeliness in addressing the state’s pressing security concerns. He emphasized the importance of interagency cooperation in tackling these challenges. Colonel Ahmed highlighted the strong, cordial relationship between the two services, noting that continued collaboration would enhance their partnership and lead to effective, lasting solutions to security issues.

He also expressed his hope that the visit would further strengthen their relationship. Additionally, Colonel Ahmed offered support to the Sector Commander, encouraging them to seek assistance from the Regiment whenever needed.

The visit concluded with a signing of the visitors’ book and a group photograph, symbolizing the strengthened ties between the FRSC and Nigerian Army in their joint effort to combat insecurity in Gombe state.
