Vice President North Industries Corporation Visits The Chief Of Naval Staff

On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, the Vice President of China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO), Mr Quian Wenyu paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas (Admiralty Medal) at Naval Headquarters Abuja.

The NORINCO VP congratulated the CNS on his appointment and thanked him for receiving them at NHQ. Thereafter, he introduced NORINCO as the largest defence industry equipment company in China. He further explained that NORINCO supplies a wide variety of defence equipment to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China and that the company also had a good history working with the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Thereafter, he itemized certain areas where they could provide equipment support to the NN.

In response, the CNS thanked the VP for his visit and recalled that, indeed, NORINCO has been a veritable partner with the AFN. The CNS then highlighted some areas where the company’s expertise would be needed. Finally, the CNS emphasized the importance of technological innovations in NN operations, stating that the company may be contacted on a need basis.
