We Are Keeping Our Statutory Mandate In Repositioning Nigerian Army Command Schools Towards Enhanced Service Delivery — Corps Commander

The Corps Commander Nigerian Army Education Corps; Major General Bello Alhaji Tsoho has reiterated his commitment in the ongoing transformation in the Corps. He made the assertion during the maiden edition of the 81 Division Education Services First Quarter 2024 NAEC Divisional Conference at Command Day Secondary School Ikeja Military cantonment Lagos on 27 February 2024.

During his remarks; General Tsoho opined that – the conference, which is the first of its kind, was intended to mark the collective effort of the Corps and stakeholders in elevating the standard of education in Nigerian Army schools; and ensure Command Schools remain the benchmark for academic excellence.

He further said “the Conference is born out of my blueprint which seeks to ensure training and re-training of education stakeholders to bring about the desired capacity for enhanced service delivery in our institutions’’.

Relatedly, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Major General Musa Usman while delivering his note as the Special Guest of Honour said – “The conference is a reflection of our collective commitment to strengthening the educational foundation of Command Schools and equipping key stakeholders with the skills and knowledge they need to produce the desired future leaders for our country”. He said he would continue to provide the strategic direction needed for the continued development of Command Schools in the Division through the Director 81 Division Education Services.

The Acting Director 81 Division Education Services; Lieutenant Colonel Olalekan Bamiteko who is the host of the maiden edition of the 81 Division Education Services First Quarter 2024 NAEC Divisional Conference during his remarks said – the conference will serve as an essential platform for collaboration, learning, and exchange of ideas. He affirmed that; “education landscape is rapidly evolving, and as stakeholders of education in the Nigerian Army, it is incumbent upon us to adapt and excel in this ever-changing environment”. He urged the participants to think boldly and challenge assumptions in order to explore new ideas.

Some of the highlights of the event were ambassadorial award to Mrs Rikkiya MT Usman, presentation of souvenirs, group photographs and cultural display by Children of Command of Schools within Lagos state.
