We Reaffirm Our Commitment To Fostering Strong Ties With Mauritania — Matawalle Hosts Mauritian Defence Minister

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle MON, warmly welcomed the Minister of Defence of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Hanena Ould Sidi, on an official visit to Nigeria at his office in Ship House, Abuja.

The meeting, held within the framework of enhancing mutual relations between Nigeria and Mauritania, aimed to reinvigorate joint cooperation in the military and security fields, particularly in light of Nigeria’s pivotal role in counter-terrorism efforts across the African region.

Dr. Matawalle emphasized Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the historical and brotherly relations between the two nations, with a focus on advancing cooperation in various sectors, notably in military collaboration and the fight against terrorism.
