We Will Continue To Defend Every Inch Of Our Airspace and Collaborate To Ensure Safety Of All Nigerians — Chief Of Air Staff
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) remains steadfast in its commitment to defending our nation’s airspace and protecting lives and property. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, reaffirmed this commitment during the Second Quarter Route March held on June 4, 2025, in Abuja. “We will continue to defend every inch of our nation’s airspace and stand firm in joint operations to protect lives and property across the country,” he declared. “Rest assured, that your protection is not just an obligation, it is our highest priority.”
The NAF is unwavering in its resolve to tackle security challenges head-on. Air Marshal Abubakar issued a stern warning to enemies of the nation, including insurgents, terrorists, and bandits. “To the enemies of our nation, know this: there will be no hiding place for those who threaten the peace and stability of Nigeria. We are coming for you. We will find you and take you out.” This resolute stance underscores the NAF’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of all Nigerians.
In a bid to enhance operational readiness, the CAS emphasized the importance of physical fitness tests in the NAF. “Physical fitness is no longer a matter of choice, it is a non-negotiable requirement,” he emphasized. The NAF’s quarterly route march, conducted across all units, is designed to build endurance, foster comradeship, and sustain the physical conditioning necessary for modern military operations. “Those who persevere, who stay the course with discipline, focus, and resilience, will ultimately arrive at the destination. And that destination, ladies and gentlemen, is the place of victory.”
