
You Must Engage In Critical Thinking To Make Informed Decisions – Major General Nicodemus
The Executive Director of Nigerian Army Farms and Ranches Limited (NAFARL), Major General Sinyinah Nicodemus, has emphasised the importance of critical thinking to participants of the Leadership and Strategic Studies Course (LSSC) 4/25, as it is a fundamental criterion for making informed decisions, particularly in resource management.
Major General Nicodemus conveyed this message on Friday, 23 January 2026, during a one-day study visit by participants of LSSC 4/25 from the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC). The visit was part of their nationwide study tour at the NAFARL Headquarters in Giri-Abuja.
Stating the purpose of the visit, the Team Leader and Consultant/Directing Staff at the NARC, Major General EG Ode (Rtd), stated that it aimed to provide participants with insights into bridging the gap between theory and practice in strategy, military leadership, and national security. He encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained during the visit.
In welcoming the team, General Nicodemus expressed gratitude for their visit to the establishment and was confident it would yield valuable lessons aligned with the visit’s theme, “Critical Thinking Skills and Abilities: Essential for Modern Military Decision-Making.” He also commended the participants for their efforts in enhancing national security through research and critical thinking.
During the visit, participants were briefed on NAFARL’s activities, challenges, and achievements. The team was coordinated by Brigadier General JO Majebi, along with other senior directors and members of the directing staff.
Key highlights of the event included presentations of briefs, an interactive session, the presentation of souvenirs, a guided tour of the farm, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
