20-Year-Old Washington Mall Shooting Suspect Arrested by Police
CNN reports that authorities have finally arrested a 20-year-old suspect believed to be responsible for the death of five people in the horrific Washington Mall shooting.
The suspect, identified as Arcan Cetin, was captured on Saturday after an overnight manhunt for him. Arcan Certin is believed to have opened fire with a rifle on Friday night at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington, killing five people in the attack.
Washington State Patrol spokesman Keith Leary said in a phone interview that the suspect was taken into custody but declined to immediately release more details.
Mr Certin, who graduated from high school in 2015, was identified after a surveillance video caught him brandishing the weapon used in the attack.
The rifle was later recovered at the mall. The shooting comes less than a week after a man stabbed nine people at a mall in central Minnesota before being shot dead by an off-duty police officer.
