2015 Election: Borishade is Former VP Atiku’s Campaign Director

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has picked one-time Education and Aviation Minister, Babalola Borishade, as his campaign director in his bid to contest for presidency come 2015.

Borishade was first appointed Education Minister during the regime of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and was later redeployed to Aviation ministry. He also worked as the strategist for President Obasanjo in the 1999 and 2003 elections, in which he emerged victorious.

Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar is soon to formally declare his presidential ambition, September 24. This is the fourth time the former vice president has shown interest in Nigeria’s highest office having first bid for the presidential ticket of the defunct Social Democratic Party [SDP] ahead of the annulled 1993 presidential election.
