2019 NAF Day Celebration: Nigerian Air Force Takes Medical Outreach To Sokoto Community
In continuation of the medical outreach programmes being conducted by units and formations across the country in commemoration of the 55th Anniversary Celebration of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the 119 Composite Group Sokoto has conducted a medical outreach at Madorawa Community in Bodinga LGA of Sokoto State.
During the event, which was flagged-off by the Commander 119 Composite Group, Group Captain Muhammad Garba, free healthcare services, including: medical consultations, counseling and screening; dental care; eye treatment and prescription eye glasses were provided to beneficiaries. It also featured the distribution of free medications and insecticide treated mosquito nets to over 500 families.
The Commander noted that the outreach was conducted on the directives of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, to assist host communities by providing quality medical services, especially for underprivileged and vulnerable population. Among the beneficiaries were men, women, children and the aged, which also included Magajin Garin Madorawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Madorawa, who expressed immense appreciation to NAF for the gesture.
