‘I have 3 Ballon D’or, You Have Non’ Ronaldo Blasts Xavi

Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) is presently having a great time, and his detractors bent on ruining it had better think again. This includes you Senor Xavi!

After his Champions League and European successes in the summer with Real Madrid and Portugal respectively that saw him crowned UEFA best player, it appears CR7 is resolved to not only conquer on the pitch, but to slay all comers in the shade department.

After telling Barca defender and instigator-in-chief, Gerard Pique to take a look at his (Ronaldo’s) “very pretty tweet” in response to the player’s dig, the 31-year-old Portuguese spared his latest salvo for former Barca star Xavi.

Early this week, Xavi committed the gaffe of stating the obvious: that Lionel Messi is superior to Ronaldo.

He suggested that though Ronaldo is an “extraordinary” player, he cannot be compared to Messi as the Argentine is on another level.

Unimpressed by the midfield maestro’s dig, CR7 retorted that he is merely trying to make headlines by making reference to him, Goal writes.

“Everyone knows that anyone who wants to make the front pages has to talk about me,” Ronaldo told reporters.

“Xavi has not won a single Ballon d’Or. I have won three.”

Hard to argue with that. Lol.

Meanwhile, the returning Ronaldo scored after five minutes as Madrid beat Osasuna 5-2 and stated that he would not hesitate to tie himself down had he been in charge at Madrid.

“If I was the president, I would renew my contract for 10 more years,” he concluded.
