President NAOWA Dr. Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, Urges NASWA Members To Support, Encourage and Pray For Their Spouses During Courtesy Visit

The President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Dr. Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu has called on members of Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association(NASWA) to remain steadfast in supporting, encouraging and praying for their spouses as they continue to play vital roles on the home front.

She made this call this week while receiving the overall Mama NASWA, Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim who led members of her entourage on a courtesy visit to the NAOWA National Secretariat in Abuja.

Dr Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, fondly known as “Mama Continuity” welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed NAOWA’s leadership role in guiding NASWA towards achieving shared goals of welfare, unity and impact within military communities. She emphasized that the strength of military families largely depends on the unwavering support system provided by their spouses.

The President NAOWA urged NASWA members to work in unison, noting that unity and cooperation remain essential in fostering growth and delivering meaningful initiatives. She further stressed the importance of encouragement and prayers, describing them as powerful tools in sustaining their spouses who are dedicated to national service.

Earlier, Mama NASWA Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim expressed appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged the leadership and mentorship of NAOWA in shaping NASWA’s direction. She noted that the visit was aimed at pledging NASWA’s Unwavering loyalty and reinforcing NASWA’s commitment to supporting one another and ensuring a safe and peaceful home front under the umbrella of NAOWA.

The visit concluded with a renewed sense of purpose, unity and commitment to building stronger families and a more resilient military community.

Highlights of the event were the advice from PSOs Wives, wives of senior officers, signing of visitors book, presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
