
Commandant NACOLM Charges Graduands On NASM To Apply Skills Acquired With Diligence and Professionalism
The Commandant, Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General Adewale Collins Adetoba has charged graduands of the Nigerian Army School of Music (NASM) to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their training with diligence and professionalism; urged them to be worthy ambassadors of the institution.
He further admonished them to maintain the highest standards of conduct, discipline, and competence while performing their duties.
Major General Adetoba who was the Special Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer during the Combined Graduation Ceremony and Passing Out Parade of the school’s Advanced Band Officers Course 7, Music Instructor Course 44, Musical Instrument Repair Course 10 and Corps of Drum Beginner Course 35 all of 2026 disclosed this while giving his remark at the ceremony.
The Combined Graduation Parade took place at the NASM parade ground under the leadership of the Acting Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel Raphael Nvene, on 23 June 2026 in Ojo Military Cantonment Lagos.
Speaking further, General Adetoba pointed out that the ceremony not only celebrate training achievements but also the strengthening of professional capacity within the Nigerian Army (NA). He described the ceremony as a moment of excellence, discipline, perseverance, and professional accomplishment.
The Reviewing Officer also noted that the successful completion of the mid-year courses reflects the NA commitment to building a highly professional, knowledgeable, and combat-ready force capable of meeting contemporary operational and regimental demands.
The special guest of honour also commended the Acting Commandant, NASM and his team for the remarkable achievements recorded by the institution saying that, it is a demonstration of the school’s genuine commitment towards turning out highly versatile and intellectually sound personnel for the NA and Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) at large. He also appreciated the instructors for their tireless efforts and contributions in raising the standards of professional military training in NASM.
He urged the graduands to be security conscious and adhere to all military rules and regulations guiding information management and use of social media noting that, a single act of negligence can compromise operational security, endanger lives and undermine the reputation of the AFN.
Major General Adetoba also expressed profound gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu for his unrelenting support to NASM reiterating that, his purposeful leadership and commitment to excellence has undoubtedly enhanced the school’s capacity to deliver quality training in line with the NA’s transformation agenda and training objectives.
Highpoints of the graduation ceremony were the march pass in slow and quick time by the graduating band, planting of trees by the special guest of honour, Commandant Nigerian Army College of Medical Sciences, Brigadier General Paulina Aburime, Acting Director Army Band, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Toriola and Acting Commandant NASM, Lieutenant Colonel Rahael Nvene.
The colourful event was climaxed by presentation of gifts to deserving graduating students as well as presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
