Nigerian Air Force Air Operations Keep Terrorists On The Run In Niger State

Across the skies of Niger State, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) continues to maintain relentless pressure on terrorist elements, responding swiftly to credible intelligence and emerging threats. In recent missions around Maburya, Sangeko, Kampani Bobi and adjoining areas of Mariga Local Government Area, NAF aircraft conducted sustained armed reconnaissance and surveillance in coordination with ground forces, locating terrorist elements, including groups moving on motorcycles and with rustled cattle. In the course of these operations, terrorists were observed fleeing and seeking cover before being engaged from the air, disrupting their activities and movement.

These missions demonstrate the growing effectiveness of intelligence-led airpower, persistent surveillance and close air-ground coordination in confronting threats across the Joint Task Force North West Area of Operations. From detecting suspicious movements to positively identifying threats and responding with timely airpower, NAF crews continue to operate with professionalism, vigilance and precision. The sustained presence of NAF aircraft continues to deny terrorists the freedom to move, assemble and operate without challenge.

For Nigerians, particularly communities living under the shadow of insecurity, the message remains clear: the watch is active, the pressure is sustained, and the skies remain actively engaged in the defence and security of the nation. Day and night, NAF personnel continue to fly in support of surface forces, protecting lives and property and helping to create safer conditions for communities to live, work and prosper. The Nigerian Air Force remains resolute in delivering decisive airpower and contributing to the collective effort to restore lasting peace and security across Nigeria.
