Alexis Sanchez Meets PSG Chiefs Ahead of His €50 million Switch
Arsenal’s hopes of holding on to star man, Alexis Sanchez, took a dive Friday after it emerged that the Chilean and his representatives were in Paris for meetings with Paris Saint-Germain sporting director, Antero Henrique.
Sanchez’s future has been the subject of speculation all summer and the Parisians are reportedly growing increasingly confident of landing the forward for a €50 million fee inclusive of add-ons after preliminary talks with Arsenal.
With the Gunners’ preseason gig fully underway in China, Sanchez and his representatives met PSG chief, Henrique at the Royal Monceau hotel in Paris – where the club usually close deals – from 12:00 PM UTC for talks which lasted several hours, Goal writes.

This comes despite Arsene Wenger’s insistence that the club’s stance has not changed and their Chilean talisman will not be sold this summer.
But contract talks have stalled, with the player’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, using interest from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain to make outrageous salary demands for his client.
Alexis scored 24 goals in the Premier League last season and has severally stated that it is his “dream” of playing in the Champions League – a competition that Arsenal aren’t involved in this season following last campaign’s fifth-placed finish.
Arsenal may remain determined to keep the 28-year-old at the Emirates, but the danger of losing him on a free transfer next summer may force their hand.
