APC is Not Practicing Democracy – Ademola Adeleke

The newly elected senator representing Osun west senatorial district, Mr. Ademola Adeleke in a statement to the press after receiving his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission earlier today lashed out at the All Progressive Congress saying the APC is not practicing democracy.

Ademola Adeleke defected from the All Progressive Congress to contest in the Osun senatorial bye-election under the platform of the PDP, after the demise of his brother Isiaka Adeleke in April 2017. His victory at the election saw Ademola replace his brother as the new senator representing Osun west senatorial district.

The newly elected senator who has been making trends for his Micheal Jackson dance moves that had gone viral on social media after he was announced the winner of the election posited that he emerged unopposed on the platform of the APC during the party primaries, but some of the party chieftains started scheming to manipulate the process.

“I used to be in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but I am back home now,”

“My interest was in APC, but it was when I got there, I discovered that they don’t practise democracy.” He said.

The senator was sworn in by the President of the senate Senator Bukola Saraki on the floor of the red chamber chamber, today 12/7/2017.

Ademola Adeleke defeated his opposition, Mudashiru Hussein of the All Progressive Congress on Saturday, pulling a cumulative vote of 97,480 against his opponents 66,116 votes.
