Army, Police Strengthen Synergy For Sustained Collaboration In Bauchi

The Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police have pledged to work together to sustain the existing relationship to bolster peace and security in Bauchi State and the Nation at large. The Commander 33 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Brig Gen UG Simon and the new Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu made the pledge when the CP paid a courtesy visit on the Commander at Headquarters 33 Artillery Brigade, Shadawanka Barracks Bauchi.

CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu disclosed that he was at the Brigade to formally introduce himself to the Commander having assumed command as the 46th Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command. The CP reiterated the need for sustained synergy in joint operations, information sharing and joint exercises. He maintained that their collective focus is to boost the safety of life and property in Bauchi State.

Brig Gen UG Simon in his response indicated the readiness of the Brigade to work closely with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies in furtherance of peace and security in Bauchi State and the nation at large. He also appreciated the CP for the visit, expressing confidence that his tour of duty in Bauchi State would be very impactful and rewarding.

Highlights of the visit was the exchange of souvenirs, between the dou, signing of the Brigade Visitors’ Book, and group photographs. Present during the event were staff officers of the Brigade as well as those on the entourage of the Commission of Police.
