Be Worthy Ambassadors Of NASPRI — Acting Commandant Charges

Graduating students of the third quarter courses of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) have been charged to be worthy ambassadors of the school as well as the Armed Forces of Nigeria, in their various formations and units.

The Acting Commandant of NASPRI, Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Yahaya Ngulde, gave the charge at the graduation ceremony held at the school Thursday 21 September, 2023. The graduation ceremony of the Third Quarter Courses 2023 which comprised Warrant Officers Public Relations Management Course 9/23, X3 Graphics Design and Printing Course, X3 News Writing and Reporting Course and A3 Video Operations Course held at the school auditorium in Bonny Cantonment, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Acting Commandant further stated that the graduating students having undergone rigorous training aimed at building their capacity have been prepared to tackle future challenges.

He therefore thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for his support to NASPRI and the gracious approval of funds for the speedy completion of NASPRI Permanent site at Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri Abuja.

He also thanked the Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral EI Ogalla for regular subscription to NASPRI Courses. Similarly, he appreciated the Commander Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army, Chief of Training and the Director Army Public relations for their conscious guidance and supervision.

Earlier, the Acting Chief Instructor, NASPRI Capt Everest Ochienta presented the course appraisal for the Third Quarter Courses. He disclosed that the graduating students took part in all activities of the school and also attended the theoretical and practical lessons during the period of their stay in NASPRI. He noted that the students performed creditably well and exhibited commendable discipline while in the School.

A total of 121 students graduated including 28 Senior and Junior ratings of the Nigerian Navy. Dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Managing Director Print Choice Printing Press, Mr Yakubu Shitabay, Chairman Laiban Print, Mr Adebanjo Olayiwola, the Commander Nigerian Army Ordnance Printing Press – Major NA Uduma, the Staff Officer Grade 2 Information HQ Naval Doctrine Command Lieutenant Commander Glory Onwuagbaruo, instructors and staff of the school and units within the Cantonment.

Highlights of the event included presentation of certificates to the graduands, presentation of awards to best graduating students for the different courses, presentation of souvenirs to the invited guests and group photograph.
