Beyonce Threatens Nigerian Beauty Company with Multi-Million Dollar Copyright Lawsuit

A Nigerian beauty company called Schwartz Laser Hair Remover has been threatened with a multi-million dollar copyright infringement lawsuit by Beyonce’s company.

According to Instablog9ja, the beauty company was served a Cease and Desist letter by Beyonce’s Parkwood entertainment company for the use of the singer’s 2009 hit, Sweet Dreams for an advert.

The beauty company which deals in the sales of affordable unisex laser hair remover, is said to have used the intellectual property for an instagram advert ‘without proper permission.’  Unfortunately, Beyonce was reportedly not happy about this.

Parkwood entertainment has reportedly issued an ultimatum for the advert to be taken down completely or they file a copyright infringement lawsuit against the company. They have also stated that they will go as far as involving the Nigerian government to get justice.
