Bill Cosby’s Daughter, Ensa, Dies at Age of 44

According to CNN, the daughter of Bill Cosby has died from renal disease. This was confirmed in a statement sent to the media house by Cosby’s spokesman, Andrew Wyatt.

“The Cosby Family thanks many people for their prayers for their beloved and beautiful Ensa,” read the statement.

Ensa, who led a low profile life despite her father’s fame, stood by him after he was accused of sexual assault by multiple women. She insisted on his innocence, said he was witch-hunted by a racist system and the ‘cruel’ media intent on destroying his legacy.

“I believe that racism has played a big role in all aspects of this scandal,” Ensa Cosby wrote, according to CNN, adding, “My father has been publicly lynched in the media. My family, my young daughter, my young niece and nephew have had to stand helplessly by and watch the double standards of pretending to protect the rights of some, but ignoring the rights of others and exposing innocent children to such appalling accusations about someone they love dearly and who has been so loving and kind to them is beyond cruel.”

Sadly, Ensa, who is one of Cosby’s five children, battled the renal disease, a condition which impairs kidney function. Her only son, Ennis, was killed at the age of 27 during a botched robbery attempt.

Ensa was 44.
