Boko Haram: Analyst says Maiduguri likely to fall

Now, in the past two weeks, Boko Haram has made a number of territorial gains capturing several towns in about six local governments covering Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states, all in the northeast of the country. The situation has prompted fears that the sect may target the city of Maiduguri, capital of Borno State next.
The military has beefed up its presence in the city and has reassured resident of full protection. Some residents though continue to flee the city out fear Boko Haram could strike.
