Reports indicate that Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters have killed several residents in Rann community, Borno State.
Sources say the attack occurred on October 21 when ISWAP fighters stormed the community on motor bikes in their large numbers.
Intelligence gathered that the assailants were met with heavy resistance from security personnel, who engaged them in a gun battle, prompting them to flee.
One of the security operatives however suffered a gunshot wound and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital
Intelligence had earlier reported that Boko Haram/ISWAP on Thursday stormed Damboa town in Borno State on eight gun trucks, killing two mobile policemen and three civilians.
