On August 19, 2020, We reported that Boko Haram insurgents burnt a telecom mast in Magumeri area of Borno State.

Recall that in the last month, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) shut down all telecom sites in Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara, and some Local Government Areas in Kaduna, to curtail the menace of bandits and insurgency ravaging the North-West.
