The former Governor of Lagos state and the national leader of All Progressive’s Congress, APC, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu was absent at the South West party’s stakeholders’ meeting in Ibadan yesterday evening.

Speaking on behalf of Tinubu, the Special Adviser on media, Tunde Rahman revealed that his Boss decided to attend to a stomach ache he was suffering from instead of coming down to Agodi for the party’s meeting.

He however established that Tinubu is in consent with all discussions reaches at the meeting although he could not be there in person.

“He (Tinubu) considered it wise to stay back in Lagos to attend to the ache and he is part and parcel of decisions going on at the meeting,” Rahman said.

However, one of the party’s chiefs, Bisi Akande stated in his address that the party is currently strategizing on how to regain the Ekiti state for APC.

Some of the south-west APC leaders who attended the meeting include the host governor; Abiola Ajimobi, Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), former governors; Adebayo Alao-Akala (Oyo), Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Osun), Olusegun Osoba (Ogun), Adeniyi Adebayo (Ekiti), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), who is serving as minister for solid minerals, Adebayo Shittu, communications minister; a Claudius Daramola, minister of state for Niger Delta; Olusola Adeyeye; Yusuf Lasun, deputy speaker house of representatives, and Femi Gbajabiamila, majority leader of the house of representatives.
