Brigadier General Mackintosh Assumes Command Of 26 Armoured Brigade

Brigadier General Timinere Mackintosh has assumed the Command of 26 Armoured Brigade Nigerian Army (NA) as the 2nd Commander of the Brigade on Thursday 2 May 2024 at the Brigade Headquarters Dutse, Jigawa State.

Speaking during the handing and taking over ceremony , the outgone Commander, Brigadier General Haruna Muhammad Abubakar thanked God and the Chief of Army Staff ( COAS) Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja for the privilege to command the newly established Armoured Brigade. He also appreciated the officers and soldiers of the brigade for the relentless support and dedication displayed during his tour of duty and charged them to extend same efforts and loyalty to the new Commander.

In his maiden remarks, the incoming Commander , Brigadier General Timinere Mackintosh expressed his gratitude to the COAS for finding him worthy of the great responsibility and pledge to discharge his duties professionally towards achieving the COAS Command Philosophy. He also thanked the outgoing Commander for his foresight in carrying out his duties and urged the officers and soldiers to work as a team and remain professional at all times.

Highlight of the ceremony was the signing of the handing and taking over note, address to troops and group photograph.
