Buhari Swears in Economic Adviser, 4 Others During FEC Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday administered the oath of office on his Economic Adviser, Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu.

A former Director of the Capacity Development Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), Dipeolu was nominated for the office in February and has been working on economic affairs in the Office of the Vice-President.

The swearing-in ceremony took place during the meeting of the Federal Executive Council, FEC at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where President Buhari, who presided over the meeting also inaugurated three other special advisers in addition to the economic adviser and one permanent secretary, Vanguard writes.

They include the Special Adviser on Social Investment, Mrs. Maryam Uwais; Special Adviser on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu; Special Adviser on Planning, Tijani Abdullahi; and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Rafiu Enikanolaye.

While Uwais, Ojudu and Dipeolu were deployed to the Office of the Vice President, Abdullahi was deployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
