Chair, Organisation of Military Sports in Africa Meets Colonel Ahmad Kalkaba Malboum In Yaoundé Ahead Of African Military Games
Major General Maikano Abdullahi, President of the Organisation of Military Sports in Africa (OSMA) and Vice Chairman of World Military Sports met with Colonel Ahmad Kalkaba Malboum, OSMA co-founder, in Yaoundé, Cameroon, to discuss final preparations for the African Military Games (AMGA) scheduled for November 18–30, 2024 in Nigeria.
Joined by Air Vice Marshal AT Marquiu, Director of Sports at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Major General Abdullahi highlighted the importance of collaboration to ensure the event’s success and to promote unity and excellence among African military personnel.
Colonel Malcolm, a key figure in African sports, has been instrumental in the development of military sports and athletics across the continent. As President of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) since 2003 and head of Cameroon’s National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC), his leadership has significantly shaped African sports.
The meeting underscores the commitment of both leaders to deliver a successful and memorable African Military Games, celebrating the strength, skill, and camaraderie of Africa’s military athletes.
