Chief Of Air Staff Participates In Special Juma’at Prayer To Mark Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, alongside other Service Chiefs, participated in a special Juma’ah prayer at the National Mosque, Abuja, as part of activities marking the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day. The prayer session, held on Friday, 9 January 2026, formed part of nationwide commemorations dedicated to honouring the bravery, sacrifices, and enduring service of Nigerian military personnel who paid the supreme price in the defence of the nation.

The CAS was represented at the solemn occasion by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi, who joined senior government officials, members of the Armed Forces, and members of the public in paying tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes. The event reaffirmed the nation’s collective resolve to remember their sacrifices and underscored the Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s peace, unity, and security.
