Chief Of The Naval Staff Cup At The 2025 Lagos Polo Club Tournament
On 22 February 2025, the final match of the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Cup at the 2025 Lagos Polo Club Tournament was held, with Lagos MSD Babybear defeating Ibadan Durante with a score of 6 to 3. The CNS Cup is one of the competitive trophies contested annually by the renowned polo teams at the Lagos Polo Club.
In his remarks, the CNS, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, ably represented by the Command Staff Officer Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral SD Ibrahim emphasised the ongoing commitment of the CNS to invest in sports as a means to enhance the physical and mental well-being of Nigerian Navy (NN) personnel. He noted that promoting polo contributes to the prestige of the organisation.
Accompanying Rear Admiral SD Ibrahim during the trophy presentation were the Chairman of the NN Polo Team, Rear Admiral OBF Oladipo, Command Information Officer Western Naval Command, Commander A Ahmed, member of the NN Polo Team, Lieutenant Commander AOS Ogunshola, Managing Director of Messi Ocean, Mr. Kunle Aluko and Mr. Wilson of Wilson Aviation.
