Ciara and Future End Messy Child Custody Battle

Rapper Future and Ciara started 2017 on a clean slate.

According to TMZ, the former couple and parents to 2-year-old boy Future jr. have both decided to drop the messy child custody battle that rocked social media months ago, and have now agreed to a joint custody.

Recall that the drama between the two adults started after Ciara moved on with footballer Russell Wilson, and the rapper, upset by this, took to social media to brand her a bad mum for letting their son bond with her new partner. Later, Future put her on blast on Twitter, called her a “controlling bitch”, and claimed he pays $15,000 per month for the welfare of their son, a claim she refuted. Ciara slammed him with a $15m lawsuit, and this led to a messy child custody battle that put their son under unhealthy spotlight.

But it seems Future and Ciara have decided to put their past behind them.

Days ago, she dropped the last defamation lawsuit against him, and now TMZ adds that the adults have agreed to a joint custody. While their boy will spend most time with his mum due to Future’s tight schedule, he will have access to his son when he is in Atlanta, where Ciara also lives.

Here’s hoping that their messy drama is finally over.
