Commander 233 Small Arms and Light Weapons Group Visits Army Central Ammunition Depot Agunu
The Commander, 233 Small Arms and Light Weapons Group, Nigerian Air Force Base Kaduna, Group Captain EE Osuwa, has today paid a visit to the Army Central Ammunition Depot Agunu (ACADA).
On arrival, Group Captain Osuwa and members of his entourage were warmly received by the Commander ACADA, Brigadier General EC Ineme, alongside officers of the Depot. In his welcome remarks, the Commander ACADA expressed delight over the visit and described it as an important step towards strengthening cooperation between ACADA and the Nigerian Air Force in the effective management of ammunition and explosives.
During the interaction, Group Captain Osuwa disclosed that 233 Small Arms and Light Weapons Group was newly established to oversee the management of small arms and ammunition belonging to the Nigerian Air Force. Discussions during the visit centred on the proposed deployment of personnel from the Group to ACADA to ensure the effective administration, accountability and management of the Nigerian Air Force ammunition storehouse located within the Depot.
The visiting Commander and his entourage were subsequently conducted on a guided tour of selected facilities within ACADA.
During the tour, Group Captain Osuwa emphasized the need to reactivate the helipad at the Depot to enhance accessibility, operational mobility and emergency response.
The visit provided an opportunity for both commanders to exchange views on areas of mutual operational interest and reaffirm their commitment to promoting inter-Service cooperation in ammunition management.
The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph.
