
Commander 4 Special Forces Command Pays Operational Visit To 401 Special Forces Brigade, Urges Troops To Intensify Efforts In War Against Insecurity
The Commander 4 Special Forces Command Major General Olurotimi Azubuike Awolo, paid an operational visit to 401 Special Forces Brigade Makurdi where he charged troops to remain vigilant, disciplined and combat-ready at all times.
The visit, which took place today at the Brigade Headquarters, Joe Akaahan Cantonment, Makurdi, was aimed at assessing the operational postures of troops, reviewing operational capabilities, and strengthening coordination for enhanced operational successes.
Upon arrival, the Commander was received by the Commander 401 SF Bde/Sector 1 Operation WHIRL STROKE, Colonel Kolawole Oyebanji Bukoye, who briefed him on the security situation, achievements, challenges and ongoing efforts to maintain dominance within the Brigade’s Area of Operational Responsibility.
Addressing officers and soldiers, the Commander commended troops of the Brigade for their dedication, resilience, and sacrifices in ensuring peace and stability within the joint operations environment. He urged them to sustain the momentum against criminal elements and to continue safeguarding lives and property within their Area of Operation which Special Forces is known for.
He further charged the troops to remain professional, proactive and combat-ready, noting that the evolving security challenges demands continuous alertness and operational efficiency to achieve success. He further assured them of the continued support of the Appropriate Superior Authority’s resolve in addressing issues related to their welfare, equipment holdings and operational capabilies.
Highlights of the visit include operational briefs highlighting major achievements of the Brigade by the Brigade Commander which the visiting Commander highly commended and guided tour of construction works and key facilities within the Brigade.
