Commander Corps of Nigerian Army Supply and Transport Holds Maiden Conference, Charges Participants To Remain Steadfast In Actualising COAS Command Philosophy

The Commander Corps of Nigerian Army Supply and Transport (CCST) Major General Adekunle Adeyinka has held his maiden conference with personnel of the Corps in Muhammadu Buhari Auditorium at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST), Benin-City where he charged them to remain steadfast in actualizing the Chief of Army Staff Command Philosophy.

In his opening remarks the CCST, welcomed the participants and stated that the Conference was to enable him interact with Supply and Transport (ST) Commanders in the field as well as other senior officers of the Corps on how to actualize the Chief of Army Staff Command Philosophy, which is “To Transform the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, Equipped and highly Motivated Force Towards Achieving our Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint Environment”.

He further stated that the event was to provide him the opportunity to officially unveil his Command Philosophy which is “To Evolve a Highly Skilled and Proactive ST Corps that is Proudly Positioned to Timely, Efficiently and Sustainably Support the NA in the Discharge of its Constitutional Responsibilities Within a Joint Environment”.
The Special Guest of Honour, the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen TA Lagbaja who was represented by the Chief of Logistics (Army), Maj Gen Erema Akerejola while delivering his remarks, applauded the CCST for the tremendous achievements he has made in the Corps since his appointment as the CCST and urged all the officers of the Corps to key into his Command Philosophy and efforts in sustaining the achievements he has made so far.

During the conference, there were briefs and presentations on pertinent issues affecting the Corps, after which participants brainstormed on such issues during interactive sessions.

In attendance were the CCST, senior officers of ST Corps, including the Deputy Commandant Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Center, the Dean Faculty of Operations Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Center, the Commandant NASST, the COS HQ NACST, Directors from Defence Headquarters, Army Headquarters and Headquarters NACST, Commanders of ST formations and units as well as other other NACST officers.
