
Continue To Aim Higher To Attain Success In Life, GOC Enjoins Graduating Students Of Command Secondary School Ipaja
The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, has charged graduating students of Command Secondary School, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, to continually aspire to greater heights and remain focused on excellence in order to achieve success in life.
The GOC gave the charge on Thursday, 30 July 2026, during the school’s 2026 Speech and Prize-Giving Day and Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing Senior Secondary School Three (SS3) students, held under the theme, “Rising Beyond Limits.”
Represented by the Commander, 81 Division Garrison, Brigadier General AI Getso, Major General Babalola commended the school’s remarkable progress and lauded the graduating students for their discipline, resilience and commitment to academic excellence. He urged them to remain focused, honest and hardworking as they proceed to higher institutions and future careers, while appreciating the invaluable contributions of parents, teachers and school administrators in shaping the students into responsible young leaders.
In his welcome address, the Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel OT Olagbende, described the graduating class as a reflection of the school’s commitment to academic excellence and character development. He congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to uphold the values of discipline, integrity and patriotism. He also appreciated members of staff, parents and guardians for their dedication and support.
Delivering the guest lecture, Pharmacist Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf challenged the graduates to embrace confidence, determination and adaptability in the face of changing global realities. She emphasized the importance of continuous learning, innovation and acquiring relevant skills to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.
