Corps Commander Ordinance Charges Newly Promoted Soldiers To Remain Committed To Duty

The Corps Commander Ordnance, Major General AG Ibrahim, has urged newly promoted soldiers of the Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) to remain committed, focused, and highly disciplined in the discharge of their duties. He gave the charge today, 4 December 2025, during the decoration ceremony held at the Headquarters NAOC Complex.

In his remarks, Major General Ibrahim expressed gratitude to God for the successful conduct of the event and extended appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General W Shaibu, for granting the Headquarters the privilege of having sixteen (16) personnel among the beneficiaries of the recent promotion exercise.

Addressing the newly decorated soldiers, the Corps Commander noted that their elevation was a direct result of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to service. He reminded them that promotion comes with greater responsibilities and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence as more opportunities for advancement lie ahead.

While stressing the need for for them to remain disciplined, he further advised the soldiers to prioritize their personal well-being and that of their families. He stressed that soldiers remain the engine room, the heartbeat and the driving force behind every operation and mission success of the Army. He urged them to take their health seriously in order to remain fit for military duties. “Look after your health, go for medical check-ups, and take good care of your families so that they can continue to pray and support you physically and spiritually,” he stated. Major General Ibrahim also emphasized the importance of loyalty, discipline, and professionalism. “Remain loyal to the system, uphold the traditions of the Corps, and continue to give in your best at all times,” he added.
